The GEM project aims at fulfilling several objectives:
- Design and development of Geoinformatics Masters studies at Partner Country Universities
- Implementation with a clear focus on resource management and renewable energy
- Development of qualified faculty (teachers) in Geoinformatics and its applications
- Establishing a close link to industry and other employment sectors
- Build a student and alumni association as a 'community of practice'
