Partners

This project has been conceived, initiated and is being conducted by partners sharing the common objective of developing postgraduate academic education, with a particular focus on Geoinformatics for the Management of Resources.
The work towards these objectives is shared among:
  • 3 European Universities from Austria, Hungary and The Netherlands, plus a Student Association
  • 7 Partner Country Universities from the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan
  • Ministries of Education from the 3 Partner Countries
  • Industry partners from Partner Countries
Most of the university partners in GEM have collaborated in previous initiatives, with the Austria-Central Asia Centre for GIScience serving as a focal point. The UNIGIS International Association (a joint platform of the participating European Universities) is providing significant support to this initiative, as are representatives of the international GIS industry.
